CONTINUING EDUCATION & SUPPLEMENTAL CLASSES

Designed to challenge dogs and keep them learning.

SUPER DUPER DOG CLASSES

Has your dog learned the basics? Need to practice more with distractions? In the Super Duper Dog class we work on all the exercises you have learned, but make it harder. We also introduce new things such as “go-to-your-bed”, off leash heeling, and down on recall. You can repeat this class as much as you would like as it is different and offers a new challenge every time.

SUPER KIDS & DOGS!

A four week class just for kids and their dogs! Shannon Lowe, kid expert, and Whitney Doremus, dog expert, make this a fun and educational class for both species. $100 for four weeks, includes your dog’s membership to VDC.

SUPPER PUP AND SUPPER DOG!

Wish your dog had better “table” manners just in time for Thanksgiving? Worried your large family gathering will overwhelm your new puppy?  Then these are the classes for you. Lucy Weaver will offer these special four week supplemental courses to help get your puppy or older dog ready to take on Thanksgiving like a boss (or like a super well mannered pooch!).

CANINE GOOD CITIZEN

AKC’s Canine Good Citizen® (CGC) Program is a certification program that is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The Canine Good Citizen® is a program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club and can also add it as a title.

SUPER STUNT DOG

You and your dog will have a blast teaching tricks and fun pet agility with Whitney, includes your dog’s membership to VDC.(Not for those serious about agility and competition)

SUPER FUN WITH ONE JUMP

Learn pre-agility skills using one jump.  Dogs will learn how to offer to jump on their own, handlers will learn how to connect and have a conversation with their dogs by using techniques such as sends, front and rear crosses and wraps.  It is not necessary to want to continue with an agility class or to compete, but if you do this class will get you ready for agility.  These skills are a fun way to learn to be a ‘team’ with your best friend.
