Raising a puppy is equal parts delightful and challenging. We are here to help! For our pups under six months of age, the Vermont Dog Club has some special offerings. From Super Puppy Class to Play & Train, don’t let this precious and limited time in your dog’s development slip by.

A six week class designed for puppies under sixteen weeks, this is the most important class you’ll ever take with your dog! We will help you get started off on the right paw with crate training, house training, how to handle mouthing and chewing, and introducing beginning basic commands. Most importantly, there are lots of socialization opportunities and plenty of time for Q&A!

Play and Train puppies will spend the day practicing their social skills during playtime with other young dogs while under the supervision of at least two qualified trainers. Combining work and play, in addition to social interactions, your pup will be learning basic skills and polite manners during short training sessions throughout the day. Our goal in this program is to use the magic of play and early learning to help puppies develop and maintain strong social skills during the ups and downs of development. We are also here to provide support to puppy parents in navigating this all-important time in your dog’s life.

  • Pups must be six months or less when enrolling in P&T.
  • Rest is an integral part of play & train – just like children, puppies need to take breaks from play and learning in order to make good choices.
  • This program is only open to students who are currently or have previously been enrolled in private lessons or group classes with one of the Vermont Dog Club’s affiliated trainers.
  • If you think day training might be a good fit for you and your pooch but haven’t worked with one of us yet, contact us.
